Take over and improve existing code
You do not need a greenfield project. I am comfortable entering an unfamiliar codebase, tracing problems, fixing bugs, updating dependencies, refactoring and improving performance without rebuilding everything from scratch.

Automate repetitive work
I integrate AI tools and automated workflows where they can remove manual steps, connect existing processes or make internal work faster. I can also improve deployment and cloud infrastructure when it is part of the problem.

Useful when the software already exists and the problems are real
Much of my work has involved production systems that were already running before I joined them. That means understanding somebody else's code, finding what is actually causing the problem, and improving the system without disrupting the business around it.

I am used to inherited code
I do not need to have built the original application to work effectively with it. I can investigate how it behaves, identify the part that needs attention and make targeted changes instead of proposing a rewrite by default.

My background also includes law and marketing. It helps when technical work involves business rules, documentation, risk, user flows or communication with people outside the development team.
